Money Manager ("the App") is a personal finance tracking app. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.
Transactions, accounts, budgets, financial goals, and receipt photos you add are stored locally on your device in an encrypted database (SQLCipher/AES-256). This data is not uploaded to our servers and we do not have access to it. If you use the app’s export feature, you control where the exported file (and any receipt images) is saved or shared.
If you enable App Lock, your PIN is stored only as a salted, one-way hash in your device’s secure hardware storage (Android Keystore). We never see or store your actual PIN. Biometric unlock (fingerprint/face) is handled entirely by your device’s operating system — the App never receives your biometric data.
The App uses Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring) to help us understand app usage, diagnose crashes, and improve performance. This may include:
This data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. It does not include your financial transaction data, account names, or amounts.
The free version of the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the advertising identifier and other data to serve ads, which may include personalized ads depending on your consent choice. On first launch (where required by your region), you are shown a consent form (via Google’s User Messaging Platform) to choose whether to allow personalized advertising. You can change ad consent settings at any time through that form. See Google’s Ads Policy for details.
The "Send Feedback" button opens a Google Form in your device’s browser. Any information you submit there (e.g., your email, comments) is collected directly by Google Forms and is subject to Google’s privacy policy, not this one.
We do not sell your personal or financial data. Data is only shared with the service providers listed above (Google Firebase, Google AdMob) as necessary to operate the App.
Your financial data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes the local database and any locally stored receipt images. Analytics/crash data retained by Google follows Google’s own retention periods.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the App evolves (for example, if cloud sync is introduced in the future). Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
